Dear supporters,

Firstly, I would like to congratulate Amanda Chapman, the MLA - Elect of the Calgary-Beddington riding in the 2023 Alberta General Election, along with the other candidates, Wayne Jackson, and Zarnab Zafar - it was a hard-fought election and I applaud each of you for sacrificing time away from family and friends to participate in the democratic process.

As we reflect on the results of Monday's election, it was a challenging fight and I am proud to have had so many amazing board members and volunteers with me every step of the way throughout the election. To my amazing board members and volunteers, thank you for your involvement and for spending countless hours door-knocking, phoning, and installing signs throughout my campaign. Your tireless efforts and dedication were unmeasurable. I owe a debt of gratitude to each of you for being part of my team and family!

To my constituents, It has been an honor and privilege to serve as your MLA in Calgary-Beddington. Over the past four years, I had the opportunity to meet so many constituents at hundreds of local events - from the annual Calgary Stampede breakfast to meet-and-greet coffee gatherings, Chinese New Year celebrations events, pizza nights and many other partnerships with local association community-based events. I especially will miss participating in the Soup and Bun luncheon with the seniors of the Huntington Hills Pioneers Association. I have always enjoyed meeting the constituents and the opportunity to interact with everyone, and receiving your input and feedback on how to improve the Calgary-Beddington constituency!

I am proud of the work I have accomplished during my tenure, as the Minister of Seniors and Housing. An in-depth review of the 10 Years Affordable Housing Strategy will pave the way for the future needs of affordable housing for vulnerable Albertans by adding an additional 25,000 affordable housing units and the creation of the 5-Year Strategy for Seniors focused on Aging Well in the community and the prevention of Elder Abuse.

I look forward to continuing to serve Albertans in different capacities and contributing towards a better future for everyone and future generations!

Regards,
Josephine
